The Burren Nature Sanctuary.

Less than 5 minutes outside of Kinvara Co. Galway is The Burren Nature Sanctuary 🙂

Situated on a 50 acre organic farm it has everything you want for a family day out!

It is not just for families but tourists, nature enthusiasts, photographers, the list could go on!!

I live only 15 minutes away and cannot believe I had never been there before.

On arrival there is a large car park (free). You enter into a very cute little gift shop where you are greeted by staff. They explain where to go, what you’ll see and we were also provided with a map and goat food 🙂

We headed off and seen goats and Llamas 🙂 There was also a large teepee tent which was so unusual but amazing! We then headed for the Fairy Woodland 🙂

It was literally the cutest thing ever! Lot’s of little fairy doors and windows. Also a lot of information along the way.

My daughter had so much fun because of the exploring and adventure. We could also write a letter to the fairies 🙂

A long from the Fairies 🙂 We seen a wishing well, lots of information on birds & flowers, gypsy wagon shelter and beautiful scenery.

There are loads of little places you can stop at to have a picnic and the surroundings are just so beautiful and peaceful. Of course we went the hottest day of the year (thank god we had water) but I wish we brought a picnic, next time we definitely will! Just to note there is a beautiful cafe and you cannot bring a picnic to that outdoor area which is completely understandable.

From there we headed back to the cafe as Kayleigh was starving lol and discovered a huge indoor soft play area and outside a fantastic sand playground.

The menu was especially brilliant for kids with pastas and pizza 🙂 And I had delicious fish cakes with salad. Kayleigh was in her element with the playground and soft play area.

You literally could spend the whole day here. I would highly recommend you bring a buggy if you have a younger child as we didn’t do the whole trail because Kayleigh wouldn’t have been able for it but will definitely be bringing a buggy the next time.

I am literally amazed by this place, it is so reasonable for everything that you can do! We didn’t even scratch the surface of what we could have done and seen.

The staff are so friendly and in particular a lovely girl named Ciara, she was so helpful and friendly.

I cannot wait to return, just waiting for a nice, warm day 🙂

I would highly recommend a trip here, pack a picnic, buggy and your set for a fantastic day out 🙂

Ciara ❤
