Turoe Pet Farm :)

Today we went to Turoe Pet Farm in Bullaun, Loughrea County Galway.

Being such a lovely day we didn’t want to waste it and Turoe Farm is a gorgeous day outside with lovely scenery and lots of fun!

The farm is located about ten minutes outside Loughrea County Galway.

We had been there last year when out daughter was much smaller so she couldn’t do much then but because shes a wild thing now running about, she absolutely loved it today.

We assumed it would be open today to the public but we were wrong lol but a very nice lady said it was no problem and let us in anyway 🙂 We also got a bag of animal food to feed certain animals.

Opening days and times change with seasons so I would advise checking the website. Here is a link >>> http://www.turoepetfarm.com

On arrival there is a huge aviary with lots of birds and poultry. There is also lots of rabbits. You can open the doors and go into some of the animals which my daughter loved but I was having heart failure in case some escaped haha 🙂

There is a massive playground with slides, see saws, swings and a huge sand pit with buckets & spades.

I had a job getting Kayleigh away from the playground it was that good!

Then there is a walking trail with beautiful scenery where you can see pigs, ponies, cows, goats, donkeys, ducks, geese and sheep.

I would advise to be weary of the goats as they can be quite protective of their kids but that would be their nature. But other than that they are very friendly and love to be fed, just keep your hand flat when feeding.

If you are bringing younger children I would recommend bringing a buggy.

There is plenty of places to have a picnic along the walk but if you don’t fancy bringing food there is a restaurant and coffee shop to get some grub and relax 🙂

At the end of the walking trail is another playground which is amazing as well. It has tree houses with slides, swings and tyre swings.

There is also an astro turf and football pitch.

And to top it off there is an indoor play area which has “Inflatable City” and “Jungle Town”.

It really is an amazing day out with so much to do! You could spend hours there!!

There is a large car park suitable for cars and buses.

There is also baby changing facilities, bathrooms, disabled facilities available and wheelchair friendly.

There is so much to do and so many facilities and activities to do that I couldn’t name them all as I think the blog is long enough as it is lol

I would highly recommend a trip here particularly as the Summer holidays are approaching and you’ll want to entertain the kids.

They also do parties and school tours. For rates please see website. More information here >>> http://www.turoepetfarm.com or you can ring 091-841580

Thank you for taking the time to read and hope this was helpful.
