Trabolgan for a great family day out! :)

This is a different blog topic for me but as I am a mother I do have interests in other topics than beauty (SHOCKERLOL 🙂

I love taking my daughter off on adventures as we would call it 🙂

I remember going to Trabolgan as a child myself and having the best time with all my cousins! Creating many memories which I still treasure to this day.

I want to create many fabulous memories for my daughter ❤

Trabolgan is located just outside Whitegate, Midleton, East Cork, County Cork.

In a beautiful picturesque wooded area.

For a day pass it is €10 per person, children up to 2 years of age are free. There are special rates for senior citizens and families.

A day pass allows you access to the playgrounds, picnic areas and either the swimming pool/sporting activity/golf course.

There are lots of other activities to do at a small extra cost but I will get into that in a little bit.

On arrival we went straight to the playgrounds. Both are beside each other. One had picnic tables so we settled at that one. One thing I would advise if you are on a budget is to bring a picnic. We had brought plenty of sandwiches, cocktail sasauges and drinks. There are restaurants but they can be pricey and who doesn’t want to keep costs low 🙂

We spent nearly 2 hours at the playground. The kids loved it!

From the playground we headed up to the Birds Of Prey centre.

This was by far my favourite part of the day.

This is located up on the golf course which is a beautiful walk right beside the water. The views are stunning.

In here we saw Owls, Falcons and Hawks. They are so beautiful and you can also get a picture taken with certain birds. We got 3 pictures taken and including delivery it was only €8.

You can also see Bearded Dragons and Snakes. My daughter definitely does not have a fear as she was fascinated.

Entry into this centre is €4. They also do special family rates. Under 3’s go free.

I would highly recommend you visit this centre.

And to finish up the day we went to the swimming pool. Best way to end the day.

It is described as a “pool paradise” with special climate control and consistent balmy temperatures.

A warning in advance it is very warm in there but you get used to it after a few minutes.

One of the main attractions of this pool is the wavemaker which is great fun. A hooter sounds to warn of the waves just in case anyone doesn’t like them.

There is also a toddler pool and a super waterslide.

Lots of deck chairs are available to relax and there is also a shop for ice cream and drinks.

The pool is fully supervised by qualified lifegaurds.

All the kids loved the pool. My daughter who is 2 started in the toddler pool but plucked up the courage after half an hour to go into the main pool and loved it!

There are so many activities to do at Trabolgan that you couldn’t possibly do them all in one day! These include >>>

  • Crazy Golf
  • Indoor sports complex
  • Golf Course
  • Live Entertainment
  • Mini Market
  • Pottery
  • Archery
  • Combat Laser
  • Go Karting

And so much more!

I am looking into returning and booking a house for us the next time.

They offer extremely reasonable rates, particularly for midweek stays and off peak weekends.

Also keep an eye out on for discounted entry rates. We purchased day passes at €6 each.

Everyone had such an amazing day, adults included.

For more information please visit OR you can call 021-4661551.

I was in no way asked to promote Trabolgan. This is my own experience on our visit and we paid ourselves.

I just feel that this could be helpful for other families coming up to Summer.

Thank you for taking the time to read and hope this was helpful 🙂

Ciara ❤
